Side Events

The 2025 Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC) hosts a full schedule of side events open to all attendees who have an official event badge, regardless of whether the attendee is competing in the International Championship or a Spectator of the event. Come battle for a variety of awesome prizes in smaller competitions throughout the weekend—it’s a great opportunity to compete against players from around the world!  
 
Registration for side events can be done on-oine at RK9.gg linked here. If you are on-site at the Pokémon Europe International Championships., please look for the on-site registration area for more information on registering for side events. Most side events require an entry fee. 
 

Prizes 

The prize wall closes early Sunday afternoon when the closing ceremonies start. Prizes must be claimed by that time. See the side events area at the venue for more details.  
 
Many side events at EUIC are scheduled events in a variety of formats in which everyone gets to play multiple matches. Championship-goers will also be able to join pods of four or eight players to participate in on-demand events through the weekend.

SPOTLIGHT ON: The Switch Series

Saturday, February 22 - 9:30 a.m.

The Switch Series is a set of large scheduled events held on Saturday morning in three popular casual formats. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet players can team up to compete in a competition featuring Multi Battles, Pokémon GO players will compete in a Great League: Fantasy Cup event, and Pokémon TCG players will have the chance to play in a Gym Leader Challenge tournament. These are larger and longer events with some of the best prizes of the weekend on the line, including promos, spectator passes for the 2025 World Championships, and a Nintendo Switch system for each tournament’s champion. 
 
TCG - Switch Series - Gym Leader Challenge
A multi-round event (number of rounds based on attendance) in the Gym Leader Challenge format. All players receive Prize Tickets based on their Swiss record, Top Cut players will compete for additional prizes!
 
GO - Switch Series - Great League: Fantasy Cup
A three-round event using the Great League: Fantasy Cup format (Blind 3s)! All players receive prize tickets for each round played!
 
VG - Switch Series - Multi-Battle
A multi-round event (number of rounds based on attendance) in the Multi-Battle format. All teams receive Prize Tickets based on their Swiss record, Top Cut teams will compete for additional prizes!

SPOTLIGHT ON: The Pokémon Sisterhood League

Saturday, February 22 - 1:30 p.m.

The Pokémon Sisterhood League is a side event series to celebrate the women and nonbinary Trainers that are a part of our community! An inclusive tournament open to all women trainers in attendance, we hope that these events serve to create a safe and welcoming space for our Trainers. 
 
TCG - Pokemon Sisterhood League: TCG Standard
A three-round event in the Standard TCG format. All players receive prize tickets for each round played! 
 
GO - Pokemon Sisterhood League: GO Great League 
A three-round event using the the Great League format! All players receive prize tickets for each round played! 
 
Pokemon Sisterhood League: VG Current Regulation 
A three-round event in the current VG regulation, Double Battles. All players receive prize tickets for each round played!
